Eligibility

Eligibility Requirements (XIIth/A Level or other equivalent qualifying examination marks)

At least 50% marks in Physics (P), Chemistry(C), Biology (B) and English (E) and a minimum aggregate of 50% marks at the XIIth/A Level or equivalent examination (which, in general, corresponds to minimum ‘C’ grades for Sri Lankan and ‘D’ grades for International boards e.g. EDEXCEL/Cambridge etc.)

If English does not opt at the ‘A’ Level, then at least 50% marks in English at ’O’ Level or equivalent examination

NEET/SAT score sheet of the present academic year must be provided, wherever applicable

TOEFL/IELTS is not required

PS: Admission will be subject to the Kathmandu University norms and qualifying an entrance exam conducted by the Kathmandu University, for which all applicants are advised to prepare themselves (applicant accepted based on NEET/SAT will not be required to undertake the Kathmandu University / Govt of Nepal’s entrance exam).

Admission

MBBS ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS – INSTRUCTIONS

Application: International admissions for the 33rd Batch of the MBBS program, commencing in 2019, are open. Please apply online at www.manipal.edu.np at the earliest, within the last date of application submission specified at the College website. You would need to upload the following documents (in PDF/image format) while applying online:

a) Xth / O Level mark sheet (copy of the board issued mark sheet/transcript)

b) XIIth / A Level mark sheet (copy of the board issued mark sheet/transcript – NOT the internet printouts)

c) Passport’s page showing name and nationality (Voter ID or Aadhar may be accepted provisionally, however copy of the passport would need to be mandatorily submitted on admission)

d) NEET/SAT score sheet of the present academic year, wherever applicable

Application Fee of Indian Rs One Thousand Five Hundred Only (for the Indian national applicants) or US$ One Hundred (for all other international applicants) must be either transferred online (using payment gateway) or wire transferred (using Telex/Swift/RTGS etc.), details of which are available at the online application form website portal.

Please note that the application form must be filed online at the MCOMS website and all the above-listed documents must be uploaded. Any applications received via e-mails or couriers will NOT be considered.

Instructions:

a) The online application form consists of two steps.

b) It would require basic personal details of the applicant e.g. Name, DOB, Nationality and Parent’s contact details.

c) It would also require 10th standard / ‘O’ Level aggregate marks and 10+2 / ‘A’ Level Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English marks.

d) Applicants from the ‘A’ Level boards which do not provide marks details (e.g. Sri Lankan board) may enter mid-point of the grades.

e) If English does not opt at the ‘A’ Level, the marks obtained in English at the ‘O’/’AS’ Level may be entered in the English column (in Step 2 of the application form).

f) On submission of the application form, an e-mail would be sent to the registered e-mail address, which would include the application no that must be quoted in all correspondences.

2019 Batch MBBS Admissions – International Candidates (i.e. non-Nepalese nationals)

Annual Intake: The College admits approx. 100 students per year in the MBBS program, each year.

Processing of Application: Application is processed for completeness (incl. payment of the application fee), adequacy and minimum eligibility requirements based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Incomplete application, lacking necessary certificates, would be rejected forthwith without any further correspondence. However, receiving of completed application would be acknowledged vide e-mail (kindly use a single email ID for all correspondences on your application status and always quote your application no).

Provisional Admission: Applicant who has uploaded an acceptable NEET/SAT score of the present academic year may be considered for provisional admission, depending on merit. The applicant accepted based on NEET/SAT will not be required to undertake the Kathmandu University / Govt of Nepal’s entrance exam.

Entrance Exam: Kathmandu University / Govt of Nepal would conduct an offline entrance exam sometime in Aug/Sep and admission would be based on the merit of the entrance exam score. Applicants are advised to prepare themselves and keep in touch with the MCOMS website for the entrance exam registration form, date and venue of the entrance exam, sample questions and other relevant details.

Scholarship

MCOMS is a self-financing institution. 20% MBBS seats are reserved for the Government of Nepal nominated candidates and MCOMS does not charge any fees from these students. MCOMS also supports other Nepalese students with subsidised tuition fees.

Apart from the MBBS scholarships, about 5% of the Nepalese students are awarded 100% scholarships to pursue Nursing courses.
