About Morgan International College

Morgan International College, founded by a group of academicians, social service activists and business entrepreneurs, is a prime institute in the field of higher education in Nepal. It is a co-educational institute established to address the needs of undergraduate and graduate-level students. The college has ultramodern infrastructure and accessories for providing an outstanding learning environment. Morgan International College offers various subjects in diverse streams: Science, Management & Humanities in +2 level. It is affiliated to National Examination Board (NEB). It is also affiliated to Tribhuvan University (TU), Kirtipur, Nepal & operating BBS & BIM in Bachelor’s Degree. It has also been operating BBA & BHM, affiliated to Purbanchal University (PU), Biratnagar, Nepal in separate building & premises. The college is going to commence GCE – A-Level, MBA/EMBA, BCA, BIT, BPH & BMLT classes soon.

Services

Hostel
Morgan provides well-furnished accommodation for the residential students, separately for boys and girls with multi-cuisine mess providing delicious and hygienic vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The hostels are regularly monitored and supervised by qualified senior teachers (male for boys’ hostel and female for girls’ hostel) and wardens as per the rules and regulations framed by the college management. The hostels have reading rooms, guest rooms, laundries and primary health care facilities.

Transportation
Morgan offers comfortable and reliable transportation service for non-residential students coming from different corners of the Kathmandu Valley. The transportation service is punctual and reasonably priced.

Cafeteria
Morgan has two types of cafeteria, vegetarian and non-vegetarian. It provides hygienic food at affordable price. It has a multi-cuisine cafeteria with varieties of delicious food. The students will enjoy lots of tasty breakfast and tiffin on their proper break time.

Power Supply
Morgan has uninterrupted power supply operating generator (30 KVA) during load shedding hours.

Water Supply
There is a regular supply of well-treated drinking water in the college and hostel premises.

Laundry Service
Residential students are facilitated with laundry service. They don’t need to wash their bedsheets, clothes, curtains etc. by themselves.

Admission

Morgan welcomes SEE graduates or the equivalent degree holders from the recognized educational institutions to apply for Higher Secondary Level classes in Science stream. Students from diverse communities are encouraged to apply.

Local students and students from economically and socially deprived communities are also encouraged to apply.

In order to enroll in any of the courses offered by the college, interested students who meet the requirements, are required to collect an enrollment form from the college, and fill it carefully in the applicant’s own handwriting and return it to the admission section. The students must appear the entrance examination administered by the college on the specified day and time. Successful candidates in the written examination will be called for the interview conducted by the college. The admission committee carefully scrutinizes the applicants’ SLC scores, entrance examination scores and other relevant information before qualifying the candidate for admission. During the selection process, the applicants’ aptitude for higher studies and etiquette will be carefully considered.

The Admission Form will be available at the College during the admission period from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm. Admission Form can also be downloaded from the college website www.morgancollege.edu.np.

Requirements

10+2 Science
Students who have scored 60% and above in the SEE or equivalent examinations are eligible to apply for science stream.

10+2 Humanities and Management

Minimum of second division score is required to get entrance in Humanities and Management stream.

Bachelor in Information Management

To be eligible to study BIM, the student must require successful completion of 12 years schooling and secured the minimum of second division.

Admission Procedures
All students wishing to join MORGAN should:

  • Collect an enrollment form against a payment of Rs. 1,000 from the college
  • Fill it carefully in the applicant’s own handwriting
  • Return it to the admission section.
  • Take written tests and appear in interview.
  • Attach transcripts of all previous academic degree with the Application Form.

Written Test
Students are required to pass CMAT, an entrance test taken by the faculty of management TU, to get admission in BIM. They must secure a minimum of 40% in the test in order to qualify for interview. The test will follow a standard testing pattern that includes verbal ability, quantitative ability, logical reasoning and general awareness.

Interview
Candidates who passed CMAT will be called for interview. The interview aims to check the general knowledge and skills of the students in areas related to their aptitude, attitude and communication ability.

Final Selection
The final selection of the candidates for admission will be based on their academic record, their performance in the entrance test, interview, their attitude towards the program, institutional norms and values.

Provisional Admission
Students wishing to join MORGAN provisionally before the results of their previous examinations are also advised to take Entrance Test. Entrance Test of such students will remain valid if the results of previous examinations are received on or before the last date of admission.

Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS)

Morgan welcomes higher secondary school graduates or the equivalent degree holders from the recognized educational institutions to apply for BBS classes in Management stream. Students from diverse communities are encouraged to apply.

Foreign students: The college is an exciting and multi-cultured place to study and we welcome students from a diverse range of backgrounds, religious faiths and localities. The entrance criteria will be equally applicable for the foreign students too, in addition to that the foreign students are required to produce their student visa and equivalent certificate. Foreign students can submit their admission forms online together with required application fees. Potential candidates will be notified for the written examination and interview.

SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship/Stipend Scheme in +2 Programs
Scholarship/stipend will be awarded on the basis of SEE score and other criteria as mentioned below:
Full scholarship for 90% and above marks holders (50% tuition fee applicable).
Full scholarship for entrance topper, boys and girls separately (In admission fee only).
Full scholarship for district toppers (In admission fee only).
Monthly fee waiver for terminal exam topper (Regular 3 terminal exams).
50% admission fee waiver for 85% and above in SEE exam.
40% admission fee waiver for 80% and above in SEE exam.
30 % admission fee waiver with 75% and above marks in the SLC exam.
25% admission fee waiver for students from remote areas.
25% admission fee waiver for students from martyrs´ & marginalized families.
