Poverty line

The poverty line established the distinction between who is poor and who is not. According to Nepal Living Standard Survey (NLSS) 2010/11 an individual considered as poor if his/her per capita total income is below Rs 19261. According to this approach 25.16% people live below the poverty line where 15.46% urban poor and 27.43% rural poor.
