Significance of Physical evidence

1. Identification:
The physical evidence merely used to identify the offender from the physical techniques. Identification has its purpose to determination of the physical or chemical identity of a substance with as near absolute certainty as existing analytical techniques will perform.

2. Comparison:
Another significance of physical evidence is comparison the collected evidence with the same characters object or the things. Analysis is subject to a suspect specimen, and control specimen to the same tests and examinations for the ultimate purpose of determining whether or not they have a common origin.
