Introduction to Pharmacy
Pharmacy is a scientific profession requiring a high level of education and training. At present, there are 4 universities running the undergraduate (4 Year BPharm) programme in pharmacy in Nepal. The total number of institutions that offer Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) and are approved by the council is 15. Pharmacy degrees including Diploma in Pharmacy (Pharmacy Assistant level) are approved by the Nepal Pharmacy Council (NPC), to ensure that students have received appropriate education for their professional registration and subsequent development and careers. The entry for degree level courses in pharmacy is after the completion of 12 years of formal schooling in science stream or its equivalent.

Nepal Pharmacy Council has adopted NPC Guidelines for the Accreditation of Pharmacy Degree Programmes in 2003 and NPC Norms for Establishment of New Pharmacy Degree College for First Year (to start with) and Approval Process of the New College in 2004.

In addition, NPC has adopted approval criteria and guidelines for 3-year Diploma Level (Pharmacy Assistant level) colleges in Nepal. There are 29 such colleges under the affiliation of Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT). The entry for this level is after the completion of 10 years of formal schooling.

Dentistry, a lucrative profession, is concerned with all health problems afflicting the mouth, teeth, gums and other hard and soft tissues of the oral cavity. It is accepted as a professional field which includes dental care and correction. Dentists help people maintain their health and appearance.

Dentistry is changing rapidly, creating many opportunities and challenges. To an extent, it includes cosmetology where corrective treatment is involved. Dentists improve patients’ appearance by using a wide variety of cosmetic dental procedures. These days, dentists are assuming very important roles in the whole healthcare system. With an increasing awareness of the importance of oral health and the introduction of new fields like periodontics (care of gums and the diseases that might afflict them), oral pathology (diagnosis for diseases that affect the mouth ) and orthodontics (straightening and aligning teeth and jaws) have all enhanced the scope of this field.

Dentists or dental surgeons provide surgical, medical and other forms of treatment for oral and dental disorders and diseases by examining teeth and mouth of the patients. They treat a diverse group of patients in a variety of settings using a variety of techniques and procedures such as computers and magnetic resonance imaging. This may include filling, crowning and scaling of teeth, extracting teeth, treating gum diseases and fitting artificial replacements where necessary and surgically handling injuries or other irregularities of the teeth and jaw. Problems dealing with the jaw or any invasive oral procedure are usually undertaken by an oral surgeon. Dentists perform trauma surgery, implants, tissue grafts and laser surgery to correct them. The core function of a dentist is prevention and treatment of diseases related to the oral cavity, including the floor of the oral cavity, the ‘roof’ of the mouth, teeth, gums, tongue etc. Their job includes educating patients about oral hygiene and ways to preserve a healthy mouth and prevent dental problems.

Scope after completing BDS in Nepal
A dentist’s job is to help the patients to maintain a healthy mouth and teeth. This requires an examination of the mouth and teeth when there is a problem, and the preparation and execution of plans for the treatment and restoration of teeth. The main work of a dentist involves treatment of diseased mouths and gums; extraction of teeth that cannot be saved, or might spread an infection to the rest of the mouth; fillings in the treatment of cavities; Surgery of the mouth and jaw; replacement of extracted teeth through surgery or other processes; cleaning of the patient’s mouth and teeth; corrective work to align or straighten teeth; dentures i.e. the making and fitting of false teeth and preventive work which involves routine check-ups for both adults and children. Introduction to BSc. Nursing

Chartered Accountancy

Introduction to Chartered Accountancy
Chartered Accountancy (CA) is a Professional course in Accountancy. Although the title “Accountancy” is used, the course of CA is broader in that apart from Financial Accounting, it has core subjects of study as Auditing, Business Law, Corporate Law, Financial Management, Information Technology, Cost and Management Accountancy, and Taxation. The course is designed in such a way that the Chartered Accountants are recognized as complete business solution providers immediately upon passing the course.

For Students from Nepal, the Chartered Accountancy can be done either from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) or from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). CA from both the Institutes (ICAN and ICAI) has 3 levels with a total duration of 4.5 years with a compulsory practical training of 3 years while doing the final level which is called articleship training. Introduction to BBA

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA or B.B.A.) is a bachelor’s degree in commerce and business administration. In most universities, the degree is conferred upon a student after four years of full-time study in one or more areas of business concentrations. The BBA program usually includes general business courses and advanced courses for specific concentrations.

Required Qualification to study BBA
The following students are eligible to register for the Foundation course:

Students completing the higher secondary (10+2) or certificate level examination from recognized academic institutions.
Graduates or Post Graduates who have scored less than 50% in Commerce and/or less than 60% in any faculty other than commerce remain ineligible to register directly for the course.

Scope

Bachelor in Business Administration or BBA, as it is more popularly known as, is one of the highly In-demand courses in today’s world. The candidates who have successfully completed their course in BBA have secured job prospects in finance, marketing, and Human Resource sector.
However, the potential of this course should not be emitted to this extent. A graduate is armed with a future specialized course to pursue such as MBA, C.A., C.S., and ICW.

The scope of BBA is large and can not be assessed within a few years of advancement. It requires a massive lookout. The cope is endless to make a wonderful career.
