GCE A Level

Biological Group: Must have secured at least a Final Grade D (with or without small letter) in both Chemistry and Biology, and at least Grade E in other subjects.
Physical Group: Must have secured at least a Final Grade D (with or without small letter) in both Physics and Mathematics, and at least Grade E in other subjects.

Equivalence Certificate

Applicants who obtained their academic qualifications from institutions or boards other than the National Examinations Board (NEB), Government of Nepal, must submit an official equivalence certificate issued by the Curriculum Development Centre (CDC), Sanothimi, Bhaktapur.

Application fee and payment method

Entrance Examination Fee: Rs. 2,200 (Rupees Two Thousand Two Hundred only). The application fee is strictly non-refundable.
Bank Payment: The fee can be deposited at any branch of Global IME Bank Ltd. across Nepal into the account of the Office of the Dean, IOST at Global IME Bank Ltd., Kirtipur Branch, using the dedicated entrance exam deposit voucher prepared by the bank.

The Embassy of India, Kathmandu has released the official examination schedule, session shift timings, and online mock test links for the COMPEX 2026 Scholarship Scheme. The notice, issued by the Education Wing, applies to all registered candidates appearing for computer-based tests for undergraduate courses in Indian universities and colleges. Examinations are scheduled from 28 September 2026 to 03 October 2026 across designated examination centres in Nepal.

Facilitation centre and admit card grievance resolution

A dedicated Facilitation Counter operates at the Education Wing of the Embassy of India, Kathmandu on 25 September (Friday) and 26 September (Saturday) 2026 from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM.

Candidates who face non-receipt of admit cards, missing photographs, or incorrect signature data must report in person with:

Mandatory instructions for candidates

The online admit card is issued four days prior to the candidate's scheduled exam date and sent directly to the registered email address.
Examinees must arrive at their allotted examination centre 90 minutes (1½ hours) prior to their scheduled shift commencement for verification and mandatory physical frisking.
The main entry gates will strictly close at the designated gate closing time; no candidate will be allowed entry under any circumstances after gate closure.
Entry into the examination hall is strictly prohibited without a physical printout of the E-Admit Card and an original photo identity card (Nepalese Citizenship Card or Passport).
Candidates must make their own travel and accommodation arrangements for the 6-day examination window from 28 September to 03 October 2026. The Embassy of India does not provide TA/DA or expense reimbursements.
