This relation tells that the combining mass reactants is always in the ratio of their equivalent mass. This law is also known as LAW OF CHEMICAL EQUIVALENCE.

‘Gram Eqv.’ or ‘Eqv.’
Eqv. mass of a substance, expressed in gram is ‘one gram equivalent’ or ‘1 eqv.’

Equivalent Mass of a compound

a) Eqv. mass of acid = Molecular Mass of acid / Basicity

where Basicity of an acid is defined as no. of H+ ions displaced or OH- ions combined per molecule of the acid.

Eqv. mass of H2SO4 = 98 / 2 = 49

b) Eqv. mass of Base = Molecular Mass / Acidity

where acidity of the base is defined as the no. of H+ ions consumed or OH- ions displaced per molecule of the base.

Eg.
Eq. Mass of Ca(OH)2 = 74/2 = 37

c) Eqv. mass of Salt = Molecular Mass of Salt / Total no. of charge in basic or acid radical per molecule

Dentistry, a lucrative profession, is concerned with all health problems afflicting the mouth, teeth, gums and other hard and soft tissues of the oral cavity. It is accepted as a professional field which includes dental care and correction. Dentists help people maintain their health and appearance.

Dentistry is changing rapidly, creating many opportunities and challenges. To an extent, it includes cosmetology where corrective treatment is involved. Dentists improve patients’ appearance by using a wide variety of cosmetic dental procedures. These days, dentists are assuming very important roles in the whole healthcare system. With an increasing awareness of the importance of oral health and the introduction of new fields like periodontics (care of gums and the diseases that might afflict them), oral pathology (diagnosis for diseases that affect the mouth ) and orthodontics (straightening and aligning teeth and jaws) have all enhanced the scope of this field.

Dentists or dental surgeons provide surgical, medical and other forms of treatment for oral and dental disorders and diseases by examining teeth and mouth of the patients. They treat a diverse group of patients in a variety of settings using a variety of techniques and procedures such as computers and magnetic resonance imaging. This may include filling, crowning and scaling of teeth, extracting teeth, treating gum diseases and fitting artificial replacements where necessary and surgically handling injuries or other irregularities of the teeth and jaw. Problems dealing with the jaw or any invasive oral procedure are usually undertaken by an oral surgeon. Dentists perform trauma surgery, implants, tissue grafts and laser surgery to correct them. The core function of a dentist is prevention and treatment of diseases related to the oral cavity, including the floor of the oral cavity, the ‘roof’ of the mouth, teeth, gums, tongue etc. Their job includes educating patients about oral hygiene and ways to preserve a healthy mouth and prevent dental problems.

A dentist’s job is to help the patients to maintain a healthy mouth and teeth. This requires an examination of the mouth and teeth when there is a problem, and the preparation and execution of plans for the treatment and restoration of teeth. The main work of a dentist involves treatment of diseased mouths and gums; extraction of teeth that cannot be saved, or might spread an infection to the rest of the mouth; fillings in the treatment of cavities; Surgery of the mouth and jaw; replacement of extracted teeth through surgery or other processes; cleaning of the patient’s mouth and teeth; corrective work to align or straighten teeth; dentures i.e. the making and fitting of false teeth and preventive work which involves routine check-ups for both adults and children. Apart from this, dentists could also work in the Research and Advisory functions of a pharmaceutical and other companies producing oral care products and medicines like toothpaste, mouthwash, gum care products, etc. Self-employment is also a promising avenue.

With gaining experience, one can start his/her own individual practice. Many dentists prefer to be in private practice, as it provides the best financial prospects as well as greater independence. Private practitioners work either alone, often setting up a clinic on their own premises, or in partnership with colleagues, sharing resources and overheads. Besides these, in dentistry, one can also take up work as a Dental Hygienist, Dental assistant or as a Dental consultant to models and film artists which could fetch a lot of money.

Suddenly, right after the completion of your NEB Board exams, you are tensed. Your mind is pre-occupied and you are in dilemma what next to do and what not to? Is this correct for me or not? Will this field help me to accomplish the dream I had at the start or will it create more confusions to me? These and others of these kinds of questions will surely hover in your mind as well. So, what is the alternative? What should I do? This friend of mine has got a scholarship in this country and is going to study there and several others have already decided their destiny and has nothing to do more than admission now. Oh! And, that friend of mine has already started working at a good company.

Our humble suggestion to you at the start is to relax. Nothing has been wrong yet, nothing will be wrong. You are still on the right track, and you will surely be if you think with a cool head. There can be many obstacles in your path to success, it can be delayed. But if you keep working towards it; it’ll come to you. You must be brave enough to shoot your cowardice and enhance what you have learned till now in your practical life.

Remember, we can only suggest you. It’s you who need to embrace it in a way that best suits you. Below are three stages you’ll go through during this phase of life and our suggestion for each of it.

First of all, know your capability. Think what you are interested in. No job is big or small but your mentality is. Set up your mind in the field where you can be perfect, where you can be one of the best in the world. Seek deep inside you; you have the capability to change things around you. When Bill Gates started his company, he started small but now, it speaks for itself. So, if he can do why can’t you? Just don’t think of the possibility, do it!

Consider choosing a field in which you are interested to join. Not because someone else wants you to do so or you did so just because some of your close friends joined it as well. Since, you are the one to live your life, not your family members, friends or relatives think carefully before making a decision.

Secondly, once you set up your mind on what next to do. Your other task will be to confirm whether you would like to accomplish that in your own nation or in abroad. If it’s in your own country, look for colleges to get your degree; if its job, look for ones that best suits you. However, if you consider continuing your education or career in a foreign land think which county you would like to be in and also prepare for the tests like IELTS, SAT, GRE, and others as relevant. If you set a target and work upon it, you surely can achieve.

Consider where to study and set your mind to accomplish the goal at any cost. Work towards it.

Finally, once you sort our where you want to continue with your life, promise yourself that you’ll give your fullest to get admitted to the shortlisted university in the nation of your choice. If it doesn’t work out, try for the next intake and if you don’t want to wait; go for the next option – don’t lose hope. And, remember it’s you at the end of the day rather than just another college.

We just want to say that, the dream of your own career and further study must be balanced and equalized. There must be a proper balance between your present requirement, ability, interest and your future career. In whatever field you choose to dive or in whichever country you want to continue, you must give your 100% dedication and consistency. Even If you fall back at some point in your life, you must rather stand up and walk through a new path than to retreat. Never give up and think with your head. Gravitation
Every object in our universe attracts the other object with certain force towards its center. This force of attraction is known as GRAVITATIONAL FORCE and the phenomenon is called GRAVITATION. This is gravitational force which is responsible for the uniformity or regularity in our daily astronomical life. The whole system of the universe is in order only due to this force. Due to gravitation, the system of our universe is working uniformly and smoothly. The planets around the earth or around the sun moves in an orderly motion due to gravitation.

Newton's Law of Gravitation

In order to explain the gravitational force between two bodies, Newton formulated a fundamental law known after his name i.e. “NEWTON’S LAW OF GRAVITATION”

Newton’s law of gravitation states thatevery object in the universe attracts the other object with a force and :

(1) The gravitational force of attraction between two bodies is directly proportional to the product of their masses.
