San Francisco Conference - April 25 1945

  • 50 delegations in attendance at the United Nation’s Conference on International Organisation [UNCIO]
  • UN Charter was signed by all delegations on June 26.
  • Smaller powers achieved important alterations to the Dumbarton Oaks plan.

  • The UNGA was given broader powers.

  • The status of EcoSoc was raised.

  • Limitations were placed on the powers of the UNSC to call into use military forces of non members of the Security Council, by allowing those non members to attend relevant SC Meetings
