In Nepal, another case of infection with the new coronavirus’s omicron form has been confirmed.
A 58-year-old male was confirmed to be infected with the novel SARS-CoV-2 strain, omicron, according to Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari, a joint spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population.
He did not say whose country the man came from, but he did say he came to Nepal from a country where omicron was common.
Dr. Adhikari said the infected person was in isolation at home and that his health was fine, and that the ministry was keeping an eye on him.
The number of omicron infection cases in Nepal has now reached three. Two people were previously proven to have been infected with the new coronavirus’s most recent confirmed version.
