Sunita Nepal, a representative for the COVID-19 Crisis Management Coordination Center (CCMCC), said that a meeting of the COVID-19 Crisis Management on Sunday suggested that schools be closed until January 29.
The government, on the other hand, will make the final choice on whether or not to close the schools.
The government would make a judgment on the subject after receiving the letter of recommendation from the CCMCC, according to Deepak Sharma, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
According to Nepal, the CCMCC has also resolved to write to the Home Ministry, requesting that any gathering of more than 25 persons in any public location be prohibited until further notice.
