Domestic Tourists Attraction "Paragliding"

With the gradual rise in the mobility of people over the festive season, paragliding has grabbed the attention of domestic tourists in Pokhara.

Most visitors visiting Pokhara during the Dashain and Tihar festivals choose paragliding, according to Krishna Bhandari, chairperson of the Nepal Air Sports Association.

With the influx of domestic tourists following the coronavirus outbreak, the number of people who like paragliding has surged in Pokhara. He explained, “The influx of domestic tourists has energized paragliding entrepreneurs.”

Bimal Pahari, the chairperson of the Paragliding Flight Club, claimed that during Dashain vacation, over 400 flights were conducted everyday, but that number has now dropped to 150.

“The growing popularity of daring sports among domestic tourists has reignited entrepreneurs’ hopes of sustaining paragliding service,” he added.

Madhav Tiwari, the owner of Himalaya Sky Adventure Paragliding Company, stated that paragliding services are provided with’safety’ and’security’ procedures in mind.
