The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology has opted to follow the COVID-19 Crisis Management Coordination Center’s (CCMCC) suggestion to close schools until January 29.
According to Deepak Sharma, Joint Secretary and Ministry Spokesperson, a meeting held at the Ministry on Monday opted to implement the CCMCC’s recommendation.
He stated that a notification will be sent with information concerning the closing method.
“We don’t have to make any further decisions after the CCMCC decision. The decision must be conveyed to the appropriate authorities for implementation.” Sharma stated his opinion.
The CCMCC met on Sunday and recommended that schools be closed until January 29, citing an increased risk of corona.
