Higher Secondary Education board has not yet published the results of grade 12 but Universities/ Collages are enrolling students with added clause in their notice: Students waiting for grade 12 results can also apply.
Last year HSEB announces the results of grade 12 science on august 13 (Today is August 13). The pass percent was 75.32 in regular category and 51.44% in exempted category. Last year HSEB has published the results of 10+2, Management, Humanities and Education on 25 September 2013.
Due to the delay in publishing HSEB result, Universities are taking admissions of the students on provisional basis. This has established new trends in education institution, which enrolls students waiting for the result.
Tribhuvan University institute of Engineering (IOE) has already taken the first phase of entrance examination, whereas Kathmandu University has already selected the students for its Science and Technology and Engineering stream.
Some educationists are arguing that the cost of this type of practice; i.e. enrolling students to the higher level when they are waiting for the results, gives students unnecessary mental pressure. Due to unpredictable nature of our exams and scoring systems, students also deprived of choosing the subjects that suits their interest and caliber. If such enroll students get failed it will give psychological trauma to students, which have very negative consequences.
