According to the Education Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN), the governments of Japan and Australia have opened their borders to overseas students seeking higher education.
ECAN Chairman Prakash Pandey told a news conference in Kathmandu on Tuesday that he convened the press conference to raise awareness about the precautions that should be taken when traveling abroad.
He advised students to contact with agencies before leaving for abroad, stating that students will be quarantined upon arrival in Australia, with the exception of three cities.
International students will be permitted to go to Australia starting December 1 after Japan’s government opened its border a few days ago.
Chairman Pandey stated that students traveling to Japan require an additional screening certificate and advised them to be cautious when booking appointments and seats.
