Nabil SSE Launched To Address Social Issues Creating Sustainable Solutions

Nabil Bank launched ‘Nabil School of Social Entrepreneurship (Nabil SSE)’ amid a programme organised at Tribhuvan University (TU), Kirtipur on November 26.

Nabil SSE is a platform for social entrepreneurs to use their innovative approaches to address social issues and produce positive social impact to create long-term solutions.

It is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) project aimed at promoting, developing, and supporting Nepalese social entrepreneurship.

The Vice Chancellor of TU, Dharma Kanta Baskota, was the primary guest at today’s event, which comprised a number of festivities.

Meanwhile, the bank has established the Nabil Centre for Social Entrepreneurship (NCSE) on the premises of TU School of Management for a six-month fellowship program.

In addition, the bank has worked with seven different colleges/universities — one from each of the seven provinces — to offer a three-month certificate program for social entrepreneurs.

The bank’s Nabil SEE initiative intends to promote socio-economic transformation through innovative solutions to the country’s long-term socioeconomic concerns.

The bank has worked with School for Social Entrepreneurs India to develop learning programs under Nabil SEE (SSE India). SEE India will be critical in encouraging and identifying business potential among persons working on social issues.
