Nepali Tara back again

Nepali Tara which is one of the most popular singing reality show which had been quite popular for past 8 years is back again. It’s screening will start soon again and is being organized by Neelbarahi films. It will be the third edition of the programme.

When the press meet was conducted at mandala Threatre, Anamnagar, they knew that the the programme had been halted due to long load-shedding hours, which may cause viewership to plummet. But a recent statement released by the organizer read: “Now we are back with a bang.”

Music director Prakasah Gurung, composer and lyricist Suresh Adhikari and adhunik singer ram Krishna Dhakal will be the panel judges whereas singer/ musician’s Jems Pradhan and Rajan Ishan will be mentoring the contestants who make it to the top twenty. Both artistes will be mentoring the contestants who make it to the top twenty. Both artistes will have a group of ten each under them. The winner of the second edition of the show Santosh lama and the runner up of the first edition, Dharmendra sewan, will be the presenters of the season.

The first round of auditions will commence from September in different areas of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Pokhara, Dharan, Butwal and Narayangarh. The organizers are expecting around the 20000 participants to audition for the singing talent show.

The programme will be broadcast on Nepal television and Nepal television plus. Along with the televised broadcast, the programme will also be on the show’s youtube chhanel, to cater to a brosder audience.

The winner of this year’s competition wil win a motorcycle, a cash prize of rs 251000, a three-song record and video deal, and an opportunity to do a musical tour around Australia.

Ranjit Acharya, the executive producer and director of the show, said in a press release that the show would be of a higher quality than in the past.
