Second Dose Of Astra Zeneca To Be Administered In Kathmandu Starting Today

From Today, citizens in eight municipalities in Kathmandu district will receive the second dose of the Astra Zeneca vaccine.

The Health Office Kathmandu issued a notification today informing those over the age of 18 who have had their first injection that the second dosage of Astra Zeneca vaccination would be administered in eight municipalities starting today.

KMC, Kirtipur Municipality, Chandragiri Municipality, Nagarjuna Municipality, Kageshwori Manohara Municipality, Tarakeshwor Municipality, Tokha Municipality, and Gokarneshwor Municipality will administer the doses.

The second dose of Astra Zeneca vaccines will be administered in the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) by five hospitals: Birendra Sainik Hospital, Bir Hospital, Nepal Police Hospital, Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital, and Civic Service Hospital of Nepal, according to Health Office Kathmandu.

The five hospitals indicated will have a two-day vaccination campaign, while local levels will have a three-day immunization program.

The KMC will begin administering anti-COVID-19 vaccines from vaccination facilities in all wards, according to reports. More immunizations can be introduced if necessary.

People should also bring their card proving they received their first dose of vaccine, as well as a print copy of their online registration or a photo with their online registration number, according to the health office.
