Services at the Palpa district hospital have been suspended, with the exception of emergency care. After some hospital staff were diagnosed with coronavirus illness, service was disrupted.
Coronavirus was identified in nine out of ten hospital employees, including the acting medical superintendent, according to Hospital Development Committee Chair Netra Prasad Pandey.
The hospital sent a notice stating that all services have been totally shut down, with the exception of maternity care, lab, safe abortion, and recommendation service.
The hospital’s medical superintendent, six medical officers, one dental surgeon, one paramedic, and one lab technician were all involved in the diagnosis.
“There was no choice but to shut down the services since they all had to stay in isolation,” Pandey explained.
The rate of coronavirus infection in the district has recently increased.
