New Delhi: The Ajay Devgn starrer action-packed film, 'Singham Returns' opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan has hit the bull's eye in just five days. The Rohit Shetty film, which happens to be a sequel to the 2011 blockbuster Singham, has paved it`s away to the prestigious 100 crore mark already.
The much-awaited action film, which released on Independence Day, minted over Rs 50 crore at the domestic box office in first two days of its release and now enters the 100 crore club in just five days.
According to a leading trade analyst, the collection as of today stands: Fri 32.09 cr, Sat 21.05 cr, Sun 24.55 cr, Mon 14.78 cr, Tue 8.21 cr. Total: 100.68 cr nett. India biz.
This is Devgn's biggest opening so far. Singham Returns has also opened strongly in the overseas market, making it the biggest box-office opener for the 45 year-old actor in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).Now, Rohit and Ajay can successfully boast of having another massive 100 crore project in their kitty. Singham Returns happens to be the fifth film in a row to cross the 100 crore mark for both the director as well as actor, respectively.
Rohit's last movie, Chennai Express too broke all the records at the box office window, making it to the 200-crore club. The talented filmmaker seems to be on a roll, as his masala films have really gone down well with the audiences.
