Students of Sanothimi Campus protest fee hike

BHAKTAPUR: The students of Sanothimi Campus today padlocked the campus, halting academic and administrative activities to protest the decision to hike semester fee without prior notice.

Earlier the students had padlocked the office of campus chief Nara Prasad Thapa for a few days. The semester fee for Bachelor of Education in Information and Communication Technology has been hiked by Rs 2,500 to Rs 32,500. Campus chief Thapa, in a statement, has urged the students to call of their protest, saying the campus had no role in hiking the fee and it was an institutional decision taken by the Office of the Dean of Tribhuvan University.
