Tribhuvan University, Central Department of Microbiology, Kirtipur, conducted Workshop under the topic ‘Research Methodology’.
Dr. Anjana singh, the head of Central Department of Microbiology, said, “The workshop has been conducted for giving orientations on scientific research methodology and output oriented application in the field of microbiological research”.
The workshop has been conducted to focus on research problem, formulation of the research objectives, hypothesis, current research trends, data processing and statistical analysis, research ethics and professionalism, inferential statistics and their applications on microbiological research fields.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Hira Bahadur Maharjan has inaugurated the programme. In his inaugural speech, he emphasized on articulating Trivhuvan University into one of the leading research-based universities. Most of the speakers pointed out the need of transforming Tribhuvan University from teaching to research university.
On the same way, during progrmme Prof. Chirikshova Tamrakar, Dean of Institute of Science and Technology, Shankar Bhandari, The Co-ordinator of Second Higher Education Project and Prof. Dr. Taradatta Bhatta, The Chief of Research Division had expressed their views on current need of TU in transforming from teaching to Research University.
