Government Closing Schools From Today
Government closing schools from today.
According to the COVID-19 Crisis Management Coordination Centre’s suggestion, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) agreed on Monday to close all schools across the country starting Tuesday (CCMCC).
On Sunday, the CMCC recommended that the government close schools for 15 days beginning January 15th.
The Ministry has also requested them to coordinate this leave with their annual holidays, as per the recommendation. To combat the spread of COVID-19, schools will close for the third time in March 2020.
The Ministry, on the other hand, has requested schools to connect children with alternate learning opportunities even during the summer holiday.
According to a statement released by the ministry’s spokesperson, Deepak Sharma, the ministry decided to close schools from January 11 to January 29 due to an increase in Covid-19 cases and confirmation of infection with the virus’s omicron version, as well as the students’ health and safety.
The ministry also urged that parents contact schools and send their children aged 12 to 17 years for immunization on the designated day, since there is a program to vaccinate students during the vacation in collaboration with local governments.
The Ministry has instructed schools to apply Learning Facilitation Guideline 2077 in order to connect pupils with alternative learning opportunities even during vacations.
At the same time, the government has instructed schools to establish plans to execute university semester and annual examination programs in complete conformity with public health and safety regulations.
Similarly, the government has instructed schools not to have any parent’s day, annual day, or other public events at educational institutions.
Similarly, after January 21, the ministry has made vaccination certificates a requirement for admission to academic institutions.
Meanwhile, the ministry has chosen to commemorate National Yoga Day on January 15 with virtual programs under the theme “Yoga for All Round Development.”
