Given the possibility of a third wave of Covid-19 and the likelihood of having lockdown, the grade 12 exam will most likely be rescheduled. There is a risk to students’ health as well, so both parents and students are concerned.
In a virtual press conference on Monday, Minister of State for Health and Population Umesh Shrestha, while unveiling the ‘Policy Commitment and Action Plan on Public Health and Epidemic Control’, proposed to postpone the upcoming examination program in view of the growing risk of third wave of COVID-19.
He also said that appropriate decision would be taken immediately in consultation with the Ministry of Education regarding the publication of results based on the internal evaluation of the postponed examination.
“In view of the growing risk of the third wave of COVID-19, appropriate decision will be taken immediately in consultation with the Ministry of Education to suspend the examination programs in the near future and publish the results on the basis of internal assessment,” said Minister of State Shrestha.
The examination schedule for class 12 has also been made public.
The students will be able to take the 100 integers exam from the comfort of their own homes.
The Class 12 examination scheduled for June 10 was also postponed due to the rapid spread of the second wave of corona infection.
