Certain Private Boarding Schools get Closed Today

All Nepal National Independence Students Union-Revolutionary, aligned to the CPN-Maoist, decided on Thursday to padlock certain schools and colleges for three days from Friday, saying that they had hiked fee by going against government directives.

A meeting between the agitating students, Ministry of Education officials, officials from Private and Boarding Schools Organisation Nepal (PABSON), National Private and Boarding Schools Association of Nepal (NPABSON) and other stakeholders on Thursday ended inconclusively.

Purna Bahadur Singh, vice-president, ANNISU-R, said, since the talks failed to address their demands, they decided to continue their scheduled protests.
