James Rodriguez signed for Real Madrid

World Cup 2014 is over and it was sure a roller coaster ride. It did provide many memorable and moments and many stars were born. The most popular football player of the recent World Cup 2014 would have to be James Rodriguez. James Rodriguez, the top scorer and the Golden Boot winner of The World Cup 2014 has been officially signed to Real Madrid.

Real Madrid was successful to take Rodriguez from French Club Monaco to Bernabeu for a 6 year contract. The World Cup 2014 top scorer makes a move to Real Madrid for an astonishing £63 million. For £ 63 million, The Columbian popular striker has agreed to join The Champions League Winner from Monaco. He underwent his medical yesterday morning with the club.

After Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez, James Rodriguez is said to be the forth most expensive player of all time. The fans had the opportunity to view the Columbian striker at Barnebeu Stadium. At the press conference, he told that numbers doesn’t matter to him. He also told that he wanted to create history for Real Madrid and bring smile to every Madrid’s fans.

He also told that Real Madrid is one of the teams with the most wins and he’s physically and mentally prepared to be with the best team and continue the progress. He followed that by saying that it was an honor to be with such stars and he hopes he will learn new things from them.

He said, "I have always dreamed to play for Real Madrid and I have struggled a lot to get here. And now I started from the bottom and now I’m here. It feels really good to work hard and finally taste the hard work to come to fruition. I am very much happy and I’ll train really hard. I know I’m in a lot of pressure but I’ll do my best. I’ll never forget this day."

After the World Cup, the Golden boot winner soon moved to The Champions League winner after impressing everyone with his amazing game play at The World Cup. The World Cup might have been over but he is still remembered for his awesome performance. Though he might not have won The Golden Ball(Lionel Messi won that) but the world felt like he was the desiring of the prestigious title and he truly left his mark at the world.

James Rodriguez was the winner of the Golden Boot after scoring goals consistently in his five matches. In Brazil, he collected 2 assists. After he left Porto for £38.5m deal, he had only been at Monaco for one single season. However, after his awesome performance, the French side was sure to sell the 22 year old Columbian player for the right price. Real Madrid fulfilled the price and now James will play alongside the fearsome Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema. Real Madrid added more stardom to their team by signing another star of the World Cup, Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos for £24 million.
