TU IOST Announces B.Sc. Re-Entrance Exam 2083 Application Form and Schedule

The Tribhuvan University, Institute of Science and Technology (IOST), Office of the Dean, Kirtipur has published the official notice regarding the online application form fill-up and examination schedule for the Four-Year Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Re-Entrance Examination 2083. The notice, issued on 2083-06-19, provides an opportunity for aspiring students who missed previous entrance applications to qualify for admission into constituent campuses and affiliated colleges operating under the annual examination system.

Important dates and schedule

Minimum eligibility criteria

Candidates applying for the Four-Year B.Sc. program must meet the following academic requirements:

NEB Grade 12 / I.Sc. / Equivalent

• Passed Grade 12 (Science) from the National Examinations Board (NEB), Proficiency Certificate Level (I.Sc.), or equivalent examination with English carrying at least 100 full marks.
• Biological Group: Must have taken Chemistry and Biology with 200/200 full marks, obtaining at least a Second Division or a Final Grade C in both subjects, along with a minimum overall GPA of 1.6 having passed all other subjects.
• Physical Group: Must have taken Physics and Mathematics with 200/200 full marks, obtaining at least a Second Division or a Final Grade C in both subjects, along with a minimum overall GPA of 1.6 having passed all other subjects.

GCE A Level

• Biological Group: Must have secured at least a Final Grade D (with or without small letter) in both Chemistry and Biology, and at least Grade E in other subjects.
• Physical Group: Must have secured at least a Final Grade D (with or without small letter) in both Physics and Mathematics, and at least Grade E in other subjects.

Equivalence Certificate

• Applicants who obtained their academic qualifications from institutions or boards other than the National Examinations Board (NEB), Government of Nepal, must submit an official equivalence certificate issued by the Curriculum Development Centre (CDC), Sanothimi, Bhaktapur.

Application fee and payment method

• Entrance Examination Fee: Rs. 2,200 (Rupees Two Thousand Two Hundred only). The application fee is strictly non-refundable.
• Bank Payment: The fee can be deposited at any branch of Global IME Bank Ltd. across Nepal into the account of the Office of the Dean, IOST at Global IME Bank Ltd., Kirtipur Branch, using the dedicated entrance exam deposit voucher prepared by the bank.
• Online Payment: Applicants can also pay online directly through the admission portal using the application and payment links provided on the official IOST website.
• Voucher / Transaction ID: Candidates must mandatorily enter their Bank Voucher Number or Online Transaction ID / Product ID in the online application form.

Instructions for candidates

1. All candidates must complete the prescribed application procedures and mandatorily upload all required supporting academic documents.
2. Carefully follow all instructions on the online portal and upload necessary credentials before submitting the application.
3. Candidates are advised to prepare all digital documents in advance, including academic transcripts, mark sheets, equivalence certificates, applicant signature, and an MRP-standard photograph.
4. Blurred, unclear, or unreadable documents will be rejected.
5. Applicants must print and keep the Acknowledgement Page immediately after submitting the online application form.
