Aristotle’s conception of citizenship is more aristocratic than that of Plato.
It is not applicable to a modern state.
Citizens do not directly rule but chooses his/her rulers so Aristotle failed to foresee the possibility of representative government.
His definition of citi zenship excludes the large member of the population of the state which could lead to the discontent and division and ultimately to the instability and revolution.
His idea of citizenship is very illiberal, unscientific, unnatural, unpractical and conservative.
